A man killed in Williamsburg on Wednesday evening is among the latest teenagers to be fatally shot in New York City this year.

Police officers found Jayden Velasquez, an 18-year-old Brooklyn resident, shot in the face and torso near the intersection of Havemeyer Street and South 2nd Street in Williamsburg just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

Velasquez was taken to Bellevue Hospital, police said, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said there have been no arrests as of Thursday morning, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Velasquez is one of at least 15 teenagers fatally shot in the city this year.
