One person has died in connection with a likely cluster of Legionnaires’ disease in the Melrose and Morrisania sections of the South Bronx, the Department of Health announced Thursday.
The DOH is investigating the zip codes of 10451 and 10456. Five people have been diagnosed with Legionnaires’ in this area as of Thursday, according to the DOH.
Confirmatory results for other cases are pending, the DOH says.
