STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — A woman was pistol-whipped and raped in a broad daylight attack on Staten Island Wednesday, according to the NYPD.
The 37-year-old woman was hit in the face with a black and silver gun and sexually assaulted near Dongan Hills Avenue and Jefferson Street at around 6 p.m., police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect fled after the incident, police said. There have been no arrests.
