Canadian rock artist Jimi has announced her highly anticipated new EP, Bar Stars & Beauty Queens, arriving October 2nd via Headwater Music Group / ADA.
The five-track collection marks another step in Jimi’s evolution toward a harder-edged, guitar-forward sound, drawing on her raw blues influences and undeniable musicianship. Fans can pre-save/pre-add Bar Stars & Beauty Queens here.
The EP features the previously released singles “Leather Jacket” and “Death of You.” “Leather Jacket” recently broke into the Top 15 on the Active Rock radio chart and has also been selected as a stadium anthem for the Toronto Blue Jays’ 2026 home-run celebrations — a fitting connection for Jimi, who grew up playing competitive AAA baseball.
Jimi comments:
“This EP feels like the most honest version of me. It’s messy, soulful, loud, and rooted in the blues and rock ’n’ roll that made me fall in love with music in the first place. I want to bring that feeling back for a new generation. I didn’t want to make something that felt perfect or overly polished. I wanted it to feel real, like you’re standing in the room watching me play it live. I can’t wait to take them on the road and share a piece of my soul with everyone who comes to a show.”
Known for her next-level live performances and show-stopping stage presence, Jimi has built a substantial organic following while carving out her place in modern rock. This summer, she shared stages with rock heavyweights including The Black Crowes and Def Leppard.
Mentored by Canadian rock icon Bryan Adams, Jimi brings an authentic and gritty edge to her guitar-driven sound. Following the release of Bar Stars & Beauty Queens, she will hit the road for her first cross-Canada headline tour.
