NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — With students back at school, it’s the unofficial end of the summer in New York City, which also means the end of the city’s beach season.
This weekend will be the last to have lifeguards on duty at beaches throughout the five boroughs. Beach season with lifeguards will end at 6 p.m. on Sunday, meaning swimming will be prohibited until Memorial Day weekend next year.
