Off the mat and in the front row, professional gymnast Simone Biles attended Simkhai’s spring 2027 presentation held on Sept. 12 in New York.

The front row was studded with several notable attendees, ranging from television stars and athletes, including François Arnaud, Venus Williams, Supriya Ganesh and Gavin Casalegno, among others. Biles’ footwear of choice hailed from Simkhai’s extensive collection. The shoe, seemingly the brand’s Janine style in fig, featured wine-colored cow leather uppers with a shiny finish that transitioned into sharp pointed toes.

Zipper closures up the sides gave way to short and walkable stiletto heels standing at 1.3 inches, a modest heel. The Olympian’s footwear currently retails for $695 on the brand’s website and comes in two alternative colorways, including ivy and black. The fig hue was extremely in line with trending fall hues that we tend to see crop up once the weather gets a little chillier. Burgundy, wine, taupe, khaki and olive hues are very popular for the season, cropping up in designs from big names like Celine to Steve Madden.

Similar styles to Biles’ own can be shopped via Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Balmain, Gucci, Chloe, Givenchy and Vince Camuto, among others. A wine or burgundy-colored knee-high boot is a classic silhouette, and one many footwear shoppers can find for a range of prices if they’re looking to complete their fall shoe rotation.
Opting for a monochrome look, the athlete opted for a sleeveless wine-colored Simkhai dress to match her booties. The thigh-length style, titled the Sonoma dress, was made of a fig-colored calf hair fabric that imparted a textural finish.

The garment was slightly boxy and featured pockets and a high neckline. On the accessories front, Biles wore pearl studs and a few gold earrings along with stacked gold bangles. Keeping up with the matchy-matchy theme, the Olympian wore a vampy wine-colored lip.
