If one thing is for sure this bumper Spring 2027 season, it’s that the party scene is practically more jam-packed than the show schedule. And after taking in runway collections all week and feasting their eyes on newness, there was no better incentive for folks to get extra dressed-to-impress than Mytheresa’s signature fashion-filled cocktail party—particularly because of its prime Saturday night slot on the calendar.
Switching things up, this time it unfolded in Café Chelsea at the fabled Hotel Chelsea—the French Art Deco bistro making for a fitting setting for a night that always fuses Euro elegance with effortless New York style.
On hosting duty, actress and muse Chloë Sevigny showed why she’s maintained her status as the city’s coolest girl (since before quote-unquote cool girls were a thing) in a fur-adorned, thigh-skimming brocade mini by Saint Laurent. It made for a meta moment. The fashion plate is currently starring in Mytheresa’s Fall 2026 campaign, with the front cover image of the print zine shot on the balcony of this very hotel. Around the space, Sevigny’s face beamed back from postcards and mailers everywhere you looked.
Plenty of designers stopped by for a chin-wag, plucking a coupe of pink-ish bubbles from the Champagne tower on their way in, including Gabriela Hearst, Alexandra O’Neill, Jennifer Fisher, Natalie DeBanco, and Monse’s Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia and Jonathan Simkhai—the latter trio all having shown their latest wares just hours previously. Even Wes Gordon, who’s readying to present Carolina Herrera Spring 2027 on Monday and host an after-party honoring the 45th anniversary of the label, popped his head in too. (No pre-show nerves here!)
In a corner, author Sarah Hoover giggled for hours with Charlotte Groeneveld, Markarian’s O’Neill, and Romilly Newman while trays of caviar-topped vol-au-vents and black-and-white cookies whizzed past.
Whether people stopped by before or after their dinner plans, the room was buzzing with front row faces from start to finish. After all, if the Europeans are in town—New Yorkers know how to show them a good time.
