NEW YORK (PIX11) — It’s not quite time for pumpkins and apple picking, but it is a great week to get outside as often as possible.
Sunday’s rain will give way to arguably the best week the tri-state area has seen in some time.
Monday is forecasted to be the equivalent of any day in Los Angeles: 75 and sunny. Then, a cold front approaches the tri-state to create very chilly overnight/early morning temperatures.
At 7 a.m. Tuesday, temperatures will be in the 40s north and west of New York City, along with 50s in the five boroughs and Long Island. The sun will be out all day as the heat climbs to just above 70 degrees.
A few clouds will make themselves known on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as the temperatures rise back closer to 80 degrees.
Rain chances increase to about 30% over the weekend, but not likely with temperatures in the mid 70s.
