The national price for a gallon of gas went up 16 cents this past week to $4.31, while the New York State average of $4.39 is up 8 cents from last Monday, according to AAA.

Batavia – $4.31 (up 3 cents from last Monday)
Buffalo – $4.32 (up 4 cents from last Monday)
Elmira – $4.24 (up 4 cents from last Monday)
Ithaca – $4.32 (up 4 cents from last Monday)
Rochester – $4.30 (up 3 cents from last Monday)
Rome – $4.35 (up 5 cents from last Monday)
Syracuse – $4.26 (up 3 cents from last Monday)
Watertown – $4.42 (up 9 cents from last Monday)
AAA reports crude oil is currently ranging between $100 to $110 per gallon amid uncertainty in the Strait of Hormuz.
Diesel prices are currently at record highs, with prices up 33 cents nationally. The average now standing at $6.23 compared to $5.50 last week.
New York’s diesel prices are up 25 cents from last week to $6.17 and up $3.07 from last year.
AAA is recommending motorists map routes, avoid peak traffic times, and combine errands to conserve fuel during this rise in prices.
