Queens Night Market will return to Flushing Meadows Corona Park this Saturday for the start of its fall season, with events planned every Saturday evening through Halloween.
The popular weekly food market, which runs from 4 p.m. until midnight near the New York Hall of Science, is returning following a two-week hiatus during the US Open, which concluded at the nearby Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Sunday.
The upcoming fall season will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 31 with the annual Queens Night Market Halloween-themed extravaganza, including trick-or-treat events and costume competitions.
A number of prizes will be distributed at the costume competitions, including VIP tickets to Forest Hills Stadium, a stay at Hyatt Regency, tickets to Disney on Ice, gift certificates from Kidding Around toy stores and gift cards and dinner from Nordstrom NYC at 57th Street and Broadway.
Reflecting on the 2026 season so far, Queens Night Market founder John Wang forecasted that this will be the last year that the market retains its signature $5/$6 price cap. The price cap has been in place since 2017, two years after Queens Night Market first debuted in 2015.
Wang said the price cap has been particularly important in 2026 due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and noted that Queens Night Market had hosted several watch parties for some of the most significant sporting events of the year, including the World Cup and the Knicks’ historic NBA Championship victory. However, he said the year has been “tremendously challenging” due to inclement weather.
“Almost every weekend seemed to have a flood watch, a severe thunderstorm, or a heat advisory,” Wang said. “We screened the World Cup, cheered on Knicks-In-Five, but I think the bigger storyline for us is how much our mission to be NYC’s most affordable community space continues to grow in relevance.
“The K-shaped economy we were wary of at the beginning of the season only seems to be getting more pronounced.”
Wang also noted that vendor applications remain open for the 2026 season, with the market continuing to onboard new stalls ahead of the fall season.
Queens Night Market has already announced several new participants ahead of the fall season, including including Mamani – selling Iranian street foods sosis bandari, kookoo sabzi, and aash – and Beachside Boriqua -selling Puerto Rican sorullitos de maiz and mofongo bites.
