The Manhattan DA’s office announced a huge takedown involving websites that use AI images and videos to exploit celebrities and potentially defraud customers. While the announcement involved only the shutting down of deepfake websites, the district attorney’s office said it was just the beginning, and had a warning for the individuals behind the AI deepfakes.
