LONGWOOD, Bronx (PIX11) — Police are asking for help identifying people wanted in connection with a string of Bronx robberies.
The NYPD says victims were targeted at gunpoint on the street.
Police say there were eight incidents from Sept. 5 to 9.
One incident was reported near the Simpson Street station.
Based on the NYPD descriptions, most of the robberies involve suspects approaching people in public, like on the sidewalk or in the park, and stealing cell phones, cash, and wallets.
Several reported incidents were in the South and Southeast Bronx. The key neighborhoods are around Starlight Park, Hunts Point, and Longwood in the 41st, 42nd, and 43rd precincts.
Most of them happened early in the morning.

Police have released videos and pictures of the people they are looking for in connection to these robberies.
In one case inside Starlight Park, police say a 22-year-old man was approached by two people who showed a knife and a gun, forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone and wallet, struck the victim in the face with the firearm, and then left the scene.
In another incident, in front of a home on Faile Street, a 45-year-old man was approached by two people, one on a bike and one on foot.
Police say they pointed a firearm at the victim and forcibly removed his wallet and about a thousand dollars.
No injuries were reported in most of these robberies.
