Mérida’s Secretariat of Youth unveiled the lineup this week for the second edition of Much’Ik Festival. The range of events couldn’t be more dizzying.
Secretary Carla Cohuo Cuevas said the event is built to reach young people with a wide range of interests, not just concertgoers. “Much’Ik isn’t only a music festival,” she said. “Culture and art, technology and video games, sports, education, employment and entrepreneurship all come together in the same space, because we understand young people’s lives as a whole.”
The entertainment lineup includes regional Mexican act 3BallMTY and Proyecto Magenta, a group of content creators made up of Susy Mouriz, Liza Báez, Mariana Ávila and Cecia Loaiza. Organizers also set aside space for the LGBTI+ community with a drag show headlined by Deseos Fab, Peke Balderas and Miss Raga Diamante, part of what officials described as a program built around diversity and inclusion.

A live lucha libre card will bring 15 wrestlers into the ring, including Black Andrómeda, Gravity, Caballero de Plata, Aztlán 13, Halcón Rojo Jr. and Action Jackson. Local up-and-coming musicians Ingeborg Quandth and Brillanty will also perform, alongside freestyle rap battles organized by Kraken Battles.

Beyond the stage, Much’Ik is built around practical opportunities for young attendees. The festival will host esports tournaments and trading card game competitions, an entrepreneurship bazaar backed by the Yucatán Institute of Entrepreneurs, and skills workshops run by ICATEY, the state’s vocational training institute. A youth employment fair, organized with the State Employment Service, will connect attendees with job openings and career guidance on-site.
Cohuo Cuevas said the first edition of the festival drew more than 20,000 attendees, and organizers are hoping to expand the range of activities this year to reach young people from different communities and interests across the state. The goal, she said, is to give young Yucatecans a positive way to spend their free time, with access to art, culture, entertainment and training all in one place.
