I have eaten hundreds of sandwiches across New York City. Nothing prepared me for this towering creation. When a classic lunch staple gets executed with this level of precision, you have to pay attention.

I headed over to Mark’s Off Madison in NYC’s Flatiron District to see if their legendary club sandwich lives up to the massive local hype. The answer? Absolutely.

The process starts with three perfectly toasted pieces of house-made bread getting a heavy spread of mayo. Next comes a massive stack of thick-cut, house-roasted turkey layered onto the first slice. They add another layer of toasted bread, even more mayo, juicy tomato slices, extra crispy applewood smoked bacon, and fresh lettuce before capping it off.

They slice it into four distinct quarters, pin each one down with a toothpick, and pile a mountain of house-made waffle potato chips right in the middle of the plate with fresh pickles.

The first bite is pure bliss. The crunch from the toasted white bread combined with the insanely smoky bacon and thick-cut turkey creates an unbelievable ratio. It is simple, massive, and elite in every single way.

If you are a fan of classic deli comfort food, this sandwich needs to be at the top of your devour list immediately.

Have you tried the turkey club at Mark’s Off Madison, or do you have a favorite sandwich spot in NYC?
