St. Anastasia Knights of Columbus Council #5911 held a blood drive on Sunday, August 30, at the Parish Center in Douglaston. Forty-nine pints of blood were donated which will save many lives. We would like to thank Rev. David Dettmer for allowing us to run the blood drive that will save many lives during this blood shortage. Chairman Frederick Bedell (not pictured) would also like to thank those who helped in the blood drive, Sal Petruso, Guiseppe Petruso, Margaret Donhue, and Marie Morra. I would also like to thank those in the parish that donated the gift of life.
