PLATTSBURGH, New York (WWNY) – A Brasher Falls man faces multiple charges after allegedly stalking young women and teenage girls inside retail stores in the Plattsburgh area and applying a foreign substance to their clothing, according to New York State Police.
State police arrested Ryan Brothers, 21, on Sept. 10 following an investigation into reports that began in August. Investigators said they received several complaints regarding an individual who followed female shoppers through area stores before applying an unidentified substance to their clothing.
Brothers was taken into custody and charged with:
Five counts of third-degree stalkingThree counts of endangering the welfare of a childOne count of public lewdness
Brothers was processed at the State Police Plattsburgh barracks and arraigned in Town of Plattsburgh Court, where orders of protection were issued for the victims. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
