After opening its first New York City store last summer in SoHo, Tecovas has officially crossed the East River for its latest outpost.
Located at 89 N. 6th Street in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, the 4,174-square-foot space designed by IA Interior Architects pairs industrial materials with warm tones and tactile details inspired by the belts, saddles, spurs and other objects of the American West.
The opening, which was previously reported by FN in December, is the result of a “sustained interest” in Western wear from tourists and local New Yorkers alike. “New Yorkers have treated us incredibly well since we opened our SoHo flagship,” Kim Heidt, chief retail officer at Tecovas, told FN.
“Expanding into Williamsburg with our second store is a milestone investing in our community,” Heidt said. “Bringing our signature ‘radical hospitality’ to Brooklyn for the first time is about so much more than opening a retail location — it’s about becoming an authentic part of the neighborhood. Ee can’t wait to build lasting roots in Williamsburg and create a welcoming gathering space where the local community feels right at home.”
To celebrate the grand opening of the new Brooklyn store, Tecovas hosted a line dancing event at Desert 5 in Williamsburg on Wednesday night.

The opening comes at a time of expansion for the Austin-based western boot brand. In August 2025, Tecovas opened the doors to a 4,500-square-foot store at 105 Wooster Street in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. The opening marked both the company’s largest store to-date and its 50th brick-and-mortar location at the time.
More recently, the company has been doubling down on wholesale. In July, Tecovas inked a new retail partnership with Bass Pro Shops. As part of the deal, Tecovas will open shop-in-shops at select locations that will feature its footwear, accessories and clothing. The first shop-in-shop locations will debut at Bass Pro Shops’ “Grandaddy” store in Springfield, Mo., followed by the new Sayreville, N.J., location expected to open this fall.
At launch, Tecovas was available in eight additional Bass Pro Shops locations: Fort Myers, Fla.; Hamburg, Pa.; Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Glendale, Ariz.; Hoffman Estates, Ill.; Buda, Texas; and Niagara, Canada.
