Man scammed out of $2,300 in Manhattan, officials say

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was out more than $2,000 in a scam that was reported earlier this week in Manhattan, officials said.

Riley County police filed a report for theft by deception at approximately 9:36 a.m. on Sept. 15 in the 700 block of Allen Road in Manhattan.

A 40-year-old man reported that an unknown person scammed him, with a total loss of approximately $2,300.
