NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — As world dignitaries prepare to descend on New York City for the annual United Nations General Assembly, New Yorkers will have to prepare for street closures, and traffic disruptions throughout the upcoming week.

The general assembly is set to take place in Midtown between next Tuesday and Sep. 28, with world leaders expected in the city as early as Sunday. Among some of the high-profile visitors include President Donald Trump, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
