Omar Cooper Jr.’s electric first play with the Jets will be his only play for at least a few weeks.
The rookie wideout is being placed on injured reserve after spraining his ankle in Week 1, The Post confirmed.
Cooper, a first-round pick out of Indiana, showed his electric speed on his first reception in the NFL, a 30-yard catch-and-run that saw him break multiple tackles and set up the Jets inside the red zone on their first drive of the season.
However, Cooper sprained his ankle on the play and was carted off the field.
To add some wide receiver depth, the Jets signed former Giants wideout Sterling Shepard and veteran Tyler Johnson to the practice squad this week, but neither will play against the Packers.

The Jets elevated kicker Jason Sanders from the practice squad for the second straight week.
They also elevated linebacker Troy Reeder.
