There is nothing like a yummy bagel on a Sunday.

Though many will argue, New York City has the best bagels. Humans know it, and so do dogs, even young Golden Retriever puppies.

That is why in this video, pups Maverick and Cleo accompany their parents to Apollo Bagels in the West Village to get those bagels!

This is a very popular bagel place, especially on the weekends, so there is a bit of a line outside, but Maverick and Cleo enjoy this as an opportunity to bask in the sunlight and take a little break.

Eventually, they make it inside. They look so cute sitting at the window with Mom!

Now it is time to take the bagels home and maybe get a treat?

Well, it looks like they got their very own bagels or some sort of dog treat, as they stopped on the sidewalk to eat something out of the bag.

Not a bad Sunday for this cute pair!

Why Are Bagels So Popular?

The bagel market has grown strongly in the last few years.

Right now, it is around $5 billion at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.3%.

The tremendous growth can be attributed to a rise in consumption, an increase in breakfast consumption, growth in artisanal baking, expansion of cafe culture, and higher disposable income.

It probably also has something to do with social media, especially when cute Golden Retriever puppies are involved!

For some more fun facts to give you context about bagels from Soocial:

In the U.S., around 2 to 10 million bagels are sold every day.

Surprisingly, blueberry bagels are the most popular variety in the U.S.

New York, New Jersey, and Colorado are the top bagel-consuming states.

The average price of a bagel stands at $5.30.

4.24% of people eat bagels for weight loss. Sounds like a fun diet to me! Cleo and Maverick would approve.
