Every Hudson County local knows: you can never have enough coffee. Between Hoboken’s plethora of cafes and Jersey City’s many spots for a cup of joe, there’ll never be a caffeine drought on this side of New Jersey. Bayonne is no different, with plenty of destinations for all things java, and its latest is Brew + Batter. Located at 557 Broadway, this new coffee + crêpe shop recently celebrated its opening on Monday, September 21st, and The Hoboken Girl had a chance to stop by. About Brew + Batter
Brew + Batter is a new cafe in Bayonne, located in the city’s midtown on 557 Broadway. It describes itself as a “modern cafe”, mixing a love of sweet goods and a need for convenience that any visitor could appreciate. It specializes in coffee of all kinds, from specialty lattes to matcha, and is also home to a crêpe bar full of customization options.
The cafe celebrated its soft opening on Monday, September 21st, with its full menu available and visitors encouraged to stop by for a sip (and a free cookie). Brew + Batter’s food setup is full of options, including a shelf with different crêpe fillings, ice creams, and toppings. Customers have the option to choose from one of its pre-made specialty crêpes or build their own, with options for waffles + mini pancakes available as well. Brew + Batter also serves other light brunch options, such as avocado toast and croissants.
Brew + Batter is also home to plenty of specialty lattes, refreshers, matcha drinks, and teas, which are creative and full of different options. HG tried the Pistachio Latte and absolutely loved it (the consistency and pistachio taste were just right). The cafe also makes milkshakes for those with an even stronger sweet tooth.
