At 7 a.m. Monday, state troopers responded to a crash involving a semi-truck heading northbound on U.S. Highway 169 at Medicine Lake Road in Plymouth, in front of the New Hope water tower.

Jennifer Krier, a spokesperson with the Minnesota State Patrol, told the Sun Post that the driver, 67-year-old Arkansas resident Anthony Palmer, was taken to Hennepin Healthcare for a medical event unrelated to the crash.

Palmer’s semi drifted off the road before crashing into the center median, then crossing over both lanes before landing in the ditch. The truck also collided with a light pole and an apartment complex garage, Krier said.
