LAKE PLACID, New York (WWNY) – An Ogdensburg man died in Essex County early Saturday morning, state police said Monday.
Edward J. Trimm, 53, was driving on Newman Road, troopers said, when he drove through an intersection with a stop sign, rolled down a driveway and hit a foundation wall.
State police and other first responders tried to save Trimm, but he died at the scene from his injuries, police said.
Troopers responded to the crash a little before 1 AM.
As troopers continue to investigate, an autopsy is being scheduled.
