A dominant high-pressure ridge across the Great Lakes will bring an extended period of quiet weather to the northeast before a big change is expected this weekend.
It’ doesn’t look like much just from this singular screenshot, but a strong coastal low-pressure system is arriving Friday and lasting through the weekend that could bring significant rain to the east coast. Make sure to follow the latest developments if you have plans to head that way this weekend.

For now, I left the weekend dry, but that could change with computer model run updates to the track of the aforementioned low-pressure system. Regardless it’ll be a beautiful work week with daily sunshine and seasonal temperatures.
