This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Park Slope, Clinton Hill, Carroll Gardens, and Flatbush. How did they fare?
Houses in this row near Prospect Park were described as blending “artistic design” with modern amenities when first advertised in 1908. Then-fashionable details are mostly intact throughout the interior in this Park Slope single-family limestone, including plasterwork, mantels, wainscoting, a pier mirror, a pass-through, and built-ins. This former House of the Day sold in July for $4.85 million, which was $550,000 over the asking price.
There are only a handful of photos showing the interior of this 1870s Clinton Hill brownstone, but they reveal the estate condition row house contains plenty of typical Italianate details worth restoring. This former House of the Day sold in May for $3.5 million, which was $150,000 over the asking price.
This estate condition Carroll Gardens brick row house is petite at 15.5 feet wide. The 19th century two-family has a duplex with a top floor rental. This former Open House Pick sold in June for $2.025 million, which was $175,000 under the asking price.
There aren’t many rich interior details in this postwar Flatbush one-bedroom, but it has a practical layout, a bonus room, and a private terrace large enough for outdoor dining. This former Co-op of the Day sold in July for the asking price of $635,000.
