NORTH BANGOR, N.Y. (WCAX) – A New York man faces arson charges after police say he threatened to burn down a home.
New York State Police say Marshall Cyrus, 20, of North Bangor, New York, sent threatening messages to the victim.
When troopers arrived at the home on Route 11B, they intercepted Cyrus and arrested him.
Investigators say inside the home, Cyrus used a propane torch to ignite a Christmas tree in the living room.
He now faces charges including arson and aggravated harassment.
