A 24-year-old man was killed in a shooting at a park in Downtown Brooklyn, police say.
Officers found the victim unconscious and unresponsive inside McLaughlin Park just after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The NYPD says he suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.
Paramedics rushed the man to Methodist Hospital, where he died.
Police later identified the victim as Jayde Brown, of Brooklyn. He was killed around five miles from his home on St. Marks Avenue.
Information about what led up to the shooting – and who may have pulled the trigger – was not immediately available.
