Married Broadway stars Jenny Powers and Matt Cavenaugh are coming back to New York for a special family cabaret concert at 54 Below. Keeping Up With the Cavenaughs, set for October 2, will both Powers and Cavenaugh and their three children.
Performing with their 14 year-old son George, 11 year-old son Henry, and six year-old daughter Rose, the concert will be the family’s first-ever time performing together onstage as a group. The evening will explore their family’s dynamics through song and banter, illustrating the children as the stalwart George, the gregarious Henry, and the queen of the kingdom, Rose.
Powers and Cavenaugh have appeared on Broadway in a number of shows, with Powers having originated the roles of Meg in Little Women, Gina in Happiness, Veronica Franco in Dangerous Beauty, and Antoinette in Little Dancer, as well as starring as Rizzo in Grease. Cavenaugh has appeared on Broadway as Tony in West Side Story, Joseph Kennedy Jr./Jerry Torre in Grey Gardens, and the title character in Urban Cowboy.
