POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Marist women’s soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Manhattan on Wednesday evening inside Tenney Stadium.
The Red Foxes outshot Manhattan 17-6, but did not find the back of the net. Sophomore Ella Bryan led the team with four shots, but senior Molly Brunk stood strong, not allowing any goals throughout the night.
Sophomore Samantha Graf made three saves, keeping Manhattan off the board and the Red Foxes from adding a loss to their record. The defense held their own in the second half, keeping most of their play on the offensive side of the field.
In the 70th minute, freshman Logan Smith was assessed a red card, giving Marist a one-man advantage for the remainder of play.
The Red Foxes take the field again on Saturday, Sept. 26 as they take on Niagara at Tenney Stadium. The game is set for 7 p.m.
