Netanyahu’s motorcade was seen traveling on the New York State Thruway near Monsey in Rockland County on Thursday, Sept. 24, accompanied by multiple New York State Police vehicles, The Monsey Scoop reported. 

The trip followed Netanyahu’s arrival at New York Stewart International Airport in Orange County earlier Thursday morning, according to the outlet.

His plane touched down shortly after 9 a.m., News12 Hudson Valley reported. This resulted in increased security around the airport and along the Thruway. 

Netanyahu had previously been expected to land in New Jersey, according to News12, which added that it was previously believed his plane would arrive at a NJ military airport before he went to Manhattan. 

Netanyahu is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly in Manhattan at around 2 p.m. Thursday and meet with several world leaders before returning to Israel, according to the outlet. No meetings with US officials were announced.
