More than 100 people were arrested, many including celebrities and local elected officials, on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, during a protest in Midtown Manhattan against the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu is scheduled to make a speech before the U.N. General Assembly in New York City. Among those arrested were City Councilman Chi Osse, Councilwoman Alexa Alives, whistleblower Chelsea Manning and actors Susan Sarandon, Elliot Page and Hannah Einbinder.
