KINGSTON – A Bronx man has been arrested on a warrant by Kingston City Police on charge of rape in connection with a sexual assault on an individual unable to consent.

Brandon Rivera, 29, was arrested on September 16 and charged with attempted rape and endangering the welfare of a disabled person, both as felonies, and a misdemeanor of sexual contact with a person unable to consent.

It is alleged that on April 22, 2026, Rivera attempted to rape an individual unable to consent. He was interrupted by a third person and did not complete the crime.

Following an investigation by Kingston Police with assistance from the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, an arrest warrant was issued on May 29.

Rivera surrendered himself and was turned over to Ulster County Court.
