The New York Yankees have moved Saturday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles, and CC Sabathia’s number retirement to Friday due to inclement weather, the team said in a release.

The game will be played as the first half of a single-admission doubleheader at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, beginning at 4:05 p.m. Friday. The second game is scheduled to begin no later than 7:05 p.m., the team said.

If the first game ends after 6:35 p.m., the second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the final out, according to the release.

CC Sabathia’s number retirement ceremony and Monument Park plaque unveiling will take place prior to the start of Game 1 on Friday.

Yankee Stadium gates will open at 2:30 p.m., and fans are encouraged to arrive by 3 p.m. for the ceremony. The Josh Hart Yankees bobblehead giveaway will begin at 2:30 p.m. for the first 18,000 fans in attendance, the team said.

Only tickets dated Friday, Sept. 25, will be valid for the doubleheader. Tickets for the originally scheduled Saturday game will not be accepted Friday.

Fans with tickets for Saturday’s game can exchange them for tickets to a similar regular-season game at Yankee Stadium, subject to availability, under the Yankees’ rain check policy.
