DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — THE BROOKLYN BOOK FESTIVAL’s weekend events — Children’s Day on Saturday, and Festival Day and Literary Marketplace on Sunday — will take place as planned despite a threatening nor’easter, according to festival organizers. Programs slated for  outdoor stages will be moved indoors “if rain and wind persist,” according to the event website.

New York City Emergency Management has issued a travel advisory from Friday night through Sunday.

Rain locations: On Children’s Day, the Picture Book stage will be moved to the Brooklyn Heights Library, 280 Cadman Plaza West. Makers and Creators’ events will also be moved to the Brooklyn Heights Library. The Young Reader’s Stage will be moved to Brooklyn Borough Hall (entrance at 209 Joralemon St.) For more details, see brooklynbookfestival.org.
