The most energetic place in all of Nashville, Tennessee, the night of Sept. 22 had to be Brooklyn Bowl when Slayyyter took the stage for her “WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD TOUR.”

The Nashville show followed the release of Slayyyter’s third album, “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA,” earlier this year. The project received both critical acclaim and traction on social media, bringing Slayyyter’s work to new fans. There’s no better way to listen to Slayyyter than on a crowded dance floor, and Brooklyn Bowl was the perfect venue to jump, dance and scream every lyric.

Before Slayyyter took the stage, Finnish indie-electronic duo Pearly Drops opened the show. Pearly Drops came out with high energy to prepare the crowd and show gratitude, as it was the duo’s first time in Nashville. The two played tracks from their 2025 album “The Voices Are Coming Back” alongside others from previous projects, all featuring their signature synth electronic backing and vocoder flairs over soaring vocals. One of my favorite features of the group was its hand-painted merch, a signature aspect that makes its art reach beyond just the musical medium.

It wasn’t long after Pearly Drops’ set that the house lights dimmed and the stage lit up. “*PRAYER*” began to play as a prelude to Slayyyter herself taking the stage to grace the audience with “DANCE…,” which acted as a command to everyone waving, jumping and enjoying the music. Slayyyter dove right into “OLD FLING$” before welcoming the Nashville crowd to her show.

It wasn’t a long break before the following tracks started to play, with fan favorites such as “OLD TECHNOLOGY” and “CRANK,” which had the entire crowd screaming every lyric. As a treat, we also got “crank 2,” her latest single that takes its namesake to the next level. The first act of her set ended with “YES GODDD,” complete with an extended jam from her band while Slayyyter changed from a tank top and jean shorts to a sparkly bra and miniskirt.

After walking back out on stage, Slayyyter sang “CANNIBALISM!” before having the crowd help her give a round of applause to some of her producers in attendance. She then asked if the audience would be okay if she played an unreleased track. The crowd was pleased to hear her new music before she dove into “GAS STATION,” which was about a toxic relationship. She kept the energy up with “UNKNOWN LOVERZ,” probably the most romantic track off her latest album, and then the second unreleased song of the night, a power ballad full of yearning and her powerful belting.

After that moment of emotional longing, Slayyyter didn’t leave the audience in its feels for too long, diving into “I’M ACTUALLY KINDA FAMOUS” and “$T. LOSER,” two tracks that are the epitome of the incredible production and punchy yelling Slayyyter always brings.

The crowd rocked out with the band while Slayyyter left the stage to change into a crocheted mini-dress and matching boots for the third act, which she made sure ended with a bang. She played “WHAT IS IT LIKE, TO BE LIKED?” and said she dedicated her album’s closer, “BRITTANY MURPHY,” to the audience.

The show ended with bubbles falling from the sky and the lights circling the room, but the crowd wasn’t ready for it to be over. The audience chanted Slayyyter’s name before she and her band took the stage once again to sing the breakup anthem “brand new chanel$” and “BEAT UP CHANEL$,” making sure no one left the show unsatisfied.

Slayyyter’s music is full of punk and club influences, beat drops that make your jaw drop, blunt lyrics and energy that gets you up and dancing — and that’s exactly what she brought to Brooklyn Bowl. Her powerful vocals matched her stage presence to give Nashville a show worth “DANCE…”ing for.
