Olivia and Noah continue to reign supreme as the most popular girl and boy names, according to the most recent study by BabyCenter.

Olivia and Amelia are hanging on tight to the No. 1 and 2 spots for girls, but the rest of the top 10 have seen some changes: Sophia (number 3) and Emma (number 4) traded places; Isabella (number 5) and Charlotte (number 6) also flipped, and Ellie (number 8) rose; and Mia (number 10) fell from its previous ranking, according to the online parent news platform.

And there are two new girl names in the top 10 for the first time ever this year: Eliana (number 7) and Aurora (number 9). Those names pushed two others – Ava (number 11) and Luna (number 13) out.

The top 10 boy names saw fewer changes, and the top 5 are exactly the same as last year: Noah (number 1), Liam (number 2), Oliver (number 3), Elijah (number 4), and Mateo (number 5). Meanwhile, Levi (number 6) and Lucas (number 7) traded places. Ezra (number 8) and Asher (number 9) didn’t move.

The biggest change in the top 10 boy names was in the No. 10 spot: Luca rejoined the top 10 after falling out in 2024, and Leo (now No. 11) dropped out of the top 10.

A new class of girl names is joining the top 100 for the very first time, or making a comeback after years away:

Eloise jumped — more than 20 spots — to join the top 100 names for the very first time at number 75.

And now at number 84, Sarah is rejoining the top 100 after a year away.

Last seen in the top 100 girl names in 2021, Charlie is now back at number 93.
