A father of two died days after being struck by a bicyclist while walking to work through Central Park, police and the man’s family said.

Richard O’Brien, 41, who worked as a steamfitter, was struck by a cyclist heading north on West Drive near W. 84th St. about 6:30 a.m. last Wednesday, police said. O’Brien fell to the ground and hit his head.

He died Sunday, according to a GoFundMe started by a family friend who says O’Brien suffered a “devastating brain injury.”

The 32-year-old bicyclist has not been charged with a crime, police said. He was going against the flow of traffic when he struck the victim, according to initial information provided by cops.

The last time a non-electric cyclist killed a pedestrian in Central Park was 2014.

O’Brien leaves behind a wife described by the GoFundMe as a “devoted stay-at- home mom” and daughters Kylie and Mia.

Another relative, Luann Moskowitz, O’Brien’s aunt, posted on Threads that he underwent two brain surgeries and was at one point in a medically-induced coma.
