I took a wild pizza tour through Brooklyn using the Grubbler app to roll the dice on our stops, and every single bite was pure, unadulterated food perfection. When you need the absolute best slices in the city, you do not mess around. You chase the grease, you chase the cheese, and you chase the crunch.
Our first stop on the app took us straight to Joe’s Pizza. This place has been slinging iconic pies since 1975, and locals and celebrities swear it is the best slice in New York City. We grabbed their classic pepperoni pie, and it was a total game-changer. Look at that stretch. The slice is cheesy, loaded with delightfully greasy pepperoni cups, and perfectly thin with the ultimate fold. One massive bite in, and I was hooked. It is the quintessential New York slice.
Next, the dice landed on Rosa’s Pizza, another legendary spot open since 1975. They are famous for their upside-down square pie. Cheese on the bottom, sauce smothered on top. Look at that pull! The crust is thick, soft, and amazingly pillowy. The tomato sauce on top is vibrant, rich, and super sausy. The result? Pure bliss. I could eat this upside-down square pie every single day.
For our final stop, Grubbler sent us straight to Roberta’s Pizza for incredible wood-burning Neapolitan pies. First up was the Bee Sting pie, packed with mozzarella, spicy soppressata, chili, and a drizzle of honey. Sweet, spicy, and smoky all in one unreal bite. Then we devoured their classic Margherita with fresh tomato, mozzarella, basil, and olive oil. Crisp crust, fresh ingredients, total perfection.
