Korea Society Annual Dinner Van Fleet Award Ceremony
Scon Ai and Intercom K Introduce simultaneous interpretation
Global MICE Intercom and accelerate global expansion
ėŽė§ íë Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is expressing his feelings after winning the VanFleet Award on the 28th (local time).
The Korea Society annual gala event held in Cipriani, Manhattan, New York, on the 28th (local time) filled the venue with 500 attendees unlike any other time. This is because Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang was honored with the Van Fleet Award for his contribution to the Korea-U.S. friendly relations. Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and SK Hynix Chairman Chey Tae-won also attended to congratulate him.
On this day, most Korean participants checked their mobile phones whenever CEO Hwang’s speech and talks continued following the toast of Chairman Choi and Chairman Lee. This is because AI simultaneous interpretation function was provided as an event of these companies that lead the global artificial intelligence (AI) transition. It is a real-time AI simultaneous interpretation service (SconChat) introduced by SconAI, a top domestic simultaneous interpretation company, and Intercom (CEO Choi Tae-young), a global MICE company.
Scone AI provided an official AI interpretation service at the APEC CEO Summit in 2025. It is a real-time AI simultaneous interpretation service for speeches by leaders of major countries such as Korea and the United States and global business leaders such as CEO Jensen Hwang at the time. Recently, the NVIDIA ‘Inception Grand Challenge’ also provided interpretation services at specialized events such as AI and robotics in the Korean semifinals.
The “Scone Chat” interpretation service provided at the site of CEO Hwang’s VanFleet Award is said to have played a role in lowering the language barrier of participants in line with the nature of the event to share the meaning of Korea-U.S. relationship and technical cooperation.
Intercom, which has joined hands with Scone AI, is Korea’s leading global MICE company that has advanced K-MICE to the global stage. It successfully held representative conferences of the Republic of Korea, including the 2010 G20 Summit, the 2012 Nuclear Security Summit, the Korea-Africa Summit, and the APEC 2025 Summit. It also provided services in Myanmar and Mongolia, and at COP28 in 2023, global consulting was conducted at the request of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government.
Choi Tae-young, CEO of Intercom, said, “By introducing the AI simultaneous interpretation system at the Korea Society annual gala dinner in 2026, it will be an opportunity to provide a bridgehead for global advancement by recognizing the excellence and technology of K-MICE by world leaders in New York, the center of the global economy.”
“The value of AI interpretation is to enable people to understand and respond at the same moment along with accurate translation,” SKONAI CEO Gong Yoo-il said. “In collaboration with Intercom, we will expand our technology and operational capabilities accumulated at international events to everyday meetings and collaborations of companies to expand their use in the global market.”
