Man dragged to his death by Brooklyn subway train

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was fatally dragged by an A-line train at a Brooklyn subway station on Monday evening, police said.

The man’s bag became caught in the doors of a southbound A train as it was departing the Utica Avenue station in Bedford–Stuyvesant around 5:50 p.m.

The train dragged the man down the platform, where he struck a pole, police said. He suffered severe trauma and died at the scene.

The victim, who was in his 50s, wasn’t immediately identified by police.
