Two Bronx men were arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery that occurred outside a Saddle Brook business in June, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday.

Ronny Moquete Rosario, 27, and Jacob Rodriguez, 26, face multiple charges including first-degree armed robbery stemming from the incident on Lanza Avenue, the office said.

The Saddle Brook Police Department responded to the armed robbery at approximately 6:51 a.m. on June 22. A victim who had parked near the business was confronted by a masked suspect armed with a handgun as he exited his vehicle. The suspect, wearing a black hood and facemask, stole money, valuables and personal items before fleeing north on Midland Ave. in a white four-door vehicle with dark tinted windows.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad and Saddle Brook Police Department launched a joint investigation. Detectives identified the suspect vehicle as a 2018 Acura TLX displaying a fraudulent temporary New Jersey registration tag and linked it to Rodriguez. Investigators later identified Rosario as an additional suspect.

Both men were charged on Sept. 22, 2026, with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a firearm.

The following day, detectives located and apprehended both suspects in the Bronx with assistance from the FBI’s New York Field Office Violent Threat Initiative and the New York City Police Department. The men were taken into NYPD custody and held by New York authorities pending extradition to Bergen County.

The investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer and the Saddle Brook Police Department under Chief John Zotollo. Multiple agencies assisted in the investigation and apprehension, including the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, FBI New York Field Office, Hasbrouck Heights Police Department, Paramus Police Department, Port Authority Police Department and Tenafly Police Department.

Musella noted that the charges are accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
