The greatest city in the world will soon be the grittiest. Chalk it up to Warriors, the hotly awaited new Broadway musical, by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and Pulitzer Prize finalist Eisa Davis, that captures New York’s edgy side.
Based on a 1970s cult action film and the novel that inspired it, the show expands on a concept album and features a key gender flip. The story follows the Warriors — an all-women NYC gang in this telling — who are wrongly blamed for murder and hunted as a result.
In Miranda’s signature style, Warriors combines hip-hop, musical theatre, R&B, and pop to tell a story of survival, loyalty, and navigating danger to make it home. Immersive storytelling specialist Jenny Koons (Queen of the Night) directs, and three-time Tony winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Bandstand, Hamilton, In the Heights) choreographs.
The show begins March 2027 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre — learn more now in our FAQ guide, and get tickets to Warriors on Broadway soon.
