Talk show host Andy Cohen pays his babysitter $30 an hour. Is it enough?

Childcare site Urban Sitter reports that the average hourly rate in New York City is $25.64 for two children.

Cohen shared what he pays to have his young son and daughter looked after when he’s away during his “Andy Cohen Live” radio show on Monday, according to Us Weekly.

Though the 58-year-old TV personality’s spending appears to be a little better than average, that day’s guest, real estate expert Jeff Lewis, suggested he could be paying more.

“That sounds cheap to me — especially from someone with your money,” Lewis said.

Money site Celebrity Net Worth reports that Cohen earns $10 million annually and is worth $50 million. In addition to his radio show, he hosts Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” and is executive producer of the ubiquitous “The Real Housewives” franchise.

Lewis, 56, revealed that he pays his nanny $37 an hour to watch his 9-year-old daughter. He told Cohen that paying a babysitter $50 an hour to watch two children for a couple hours seems appropriate.

Cohen’s son, Benjamin Allen Cohen, was born via surrogate on Feb. 4, 2019, according to People. The talk show host’s daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen, was reportedly born on April 29, 2022. His family has homes in New York City and the Hamptons, according to Bravo.

In a 2018 episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” he confessed, “I just never thought it would be possible as a gay man to grow up and have a family.”
