The New York State Liquor Authority has canceled the liquor license held by the company that operates Tom & Marty’s Town House in downtown Binghamton.

The license is held by Shea 89 Inc., which operates Tom & Marty’s on State Street.

The State Liquor Authority says the business failed to respond to multiple charges, including allegations involving pre-mixed drinks and a failure to conform to its license.

The authority sustained the charges and canceled the liquor license. It also imposed a $1,000 bond claim.

The business had previously faced violations involving alcohol sales to underage customers. Earlier this year, the establishment was also given a $10,000 penalty for unregistered security guards and a failure to supervise.

While the cancellation applies to the establishment’s liquor license it does not mean that the business itself has been ordered to permanently close.
