A motorcyclist is fighting for his life in the Bronx after police say he collided with multiple vehicles on Wednesday night.

The crash also led to the arrest of a second driver who allegedly was intoxicated and driving without a valid license.

Police said the horrific crash happened around 8:40 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the corner of Crotona Avenue and East 189th Street.

Based on a preliminary investigation, police reported that the motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man, was riding a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja southbound on Crotona Avenue when he lost control and slammed into the rear of a 2015 Ford Taurus. The impact sent the motorcyclist flying into the northbound lane, where he collided head-on with a 2007 Cadillac DTS, driven by a 46-year-old man.

The motorcycle then struck a parked 2014 Toyota Corolla, police said.

Officers from the 48th Precinct responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist, who suffered severe trauma to his head and body. EMS rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he remained in critical condition on Thursday morning.

The 30-year-old Taurus driver and his 30-year-old passenger were also taken to the hospital for observation, police said.

Meanwhile, the Cadillac driver, identified as Parkchester resident Carless Currie, remained at the scene but allegedly refused to take a breathalyzer test.

Police later determined Currie was intoxicated at the time of the crash and did not have a valid driver’s license, according to authorities.

Currie was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, and refusal of a blood screening test.

The NYPD Highway Patrol Collision Investigation Squad is continuing to investigate the crash.
