With the Target inside Queens Place mall slated to move to Rego Center in 2028, its longtime Elmhurst home has been sold.

Citing a deed published in the city register Sept. 21, several published news reports say A&H Acquisitions, a private real estate investment firm founded by the Adjmi family, purchased the 230,000-square-foot space in a roughly $5 million cash deal.

The Target has been at Queens Place, above, located at 88-01 Queens Blvd., for 25 years, the reports say. The location is still open, and a store spokesperson did not share information as to when it might close.

The space’s future was not immediately clear. Asked about it, the Target spokesperson deferred to the buyer. A&H did not answer requests for comment by press time.

Alexander’s, Inc., which owns Rego Center, in June announced the completion of a 15-year lease allowing Target to occupy 135,000 square feet of retail space there. It is to be located on the second floor of the complex, at 61-35 Junction Blvd., less than a mile away from Queens Place.
