Ashford, N.Y. (WBEN) – New York State Police is investigating a deadly crash in Cattaraugus County on Wednesday.
Troopers from the Machias barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on Felton Hill Road in the Town of Ashford at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials say a pickup truck, driven by 19-year-old Baily Fuller, left the roadway and hit a tree. She was taken to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital for treatment.
Fuller’s passenger, 16-year-old Dominic Fuller, was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say the primary factor was excessive speed, with no sign of impairment. Both occupants were not wearing seatbelts.
