BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The UVM field hockey team cruised by Queens on Sunday, downing the visitors 8-0 thanks to a hat trick from Alicia Battistelli.
Eight goals is one tally shy of the program record of nine, which the Cats already tied earlier this season.
“We really had a lot of conversation, a lot of reflection after Friday’s game. We watched a lot of film,” Battistelli said. “We didn’t have a lot of time to practice, obviously, just having one day between games, but I felt like it was a big mindset thing. We know how to do the things that we need to do well. I think it was just really executing and sticking to the game plan, playing close together, playing for each other, that kind of thing.”
