Two people were killed in separate crashes just hours apart in Indian Lake over the weekend, including a deadly ATV crash and a head-on collision on State Route 28N.
New York State Police said troopers first responded to an ATV crash at the Deer Valley Club trails on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Police said the ATV operator, William French, 55, of South Glens Falls, died after he hit a culvert pipe, ejecting him from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two hours later, at 6:41 p.m., troopers responded to a head-on crash on State Route 28N.
Investigators said that a Ferrari Italia operated by a 63-year-old man from New Jersey crossed the center lane and hit a blue Hyundai heading in the opposite direction.
The passenger in the Hyundai, 64-year-old Kathleen Henzler, of Fishkill, died at the scene.
Both of the drivers as well as a passenger in the Ferrari were taken to the hospital. They are all listed in stable condition as of Monday.
Police have not filed any charges at this time. The investigation into that crash is ongoing.
